Bill increasing severity of punishment for destruction of women’s pictures in advertisements
The director of the YI Agunah & Get-Refusal Prevention Project, Dr. Rachel Levmore, participated in a meeting of the Knesset Constitution and Law Committee discussing a bill increasing the severity of punishment for the destruction of women’s pictures in advertisements in the public sphere. Directly following Dr. Levmore’s presentation of the effect of this criminal act on women’s status in the general public, the MK members of the Committee voted and passed the bill to its first reading in the Knesset.
