Just a few days before their wedding, a young couple contacted Dr. Rachel Levmore, director of the YI Agunah and Get-Refusal Prevention Project, on a Friday morning. They were desperate to sign the Agreement for Mutual Respect that very day and requested that Dr. Levmore authorize their signatures. Naturally she agreed. As the young couple drove from out of town, they arrived just two hours before Shabbat and went straight to the kitchen table for the signing! Dr. Levmore calmed them down as they signed the agreement in her presence and added her authorization as a Rabbinical Court Advocate.
