Rabbi Yossi Goldin

Executive Director

About Rabbi Goldin

Rav Yossi earned a BA in Psychology, Semicha, and an MA in Education from Yeshiva University, as well as a certificate in Mental Health Counseling from The Family Institute at Neve Yerushalayim. He has made significant contributions to chinuch and community work, both formal and informal.

Rabbi Goldin was the founding Menahel of Midreshet Torat Chessed at Bet Elazraki in Netanya, where he oversaw the creation and development of the Midrasha during its first 8 years of existence.

He’s held various roles for the Olim community, including Olim coordinator at Lapid High School in Modiin and 9th grade Ra”m at YTA. He is also the Israel Immersion Coordinator and Placement Advisor for RIETS in Israel. 

Rav Yossi currently lives in Shaalvim with his wife and family.

Dr. Rachel Levmore

Program Director

About Dr. Levmore

Dr. Levmore has been the Director of the Agunah and Get-Refusal Prevention Program for over a decade. As an expert on the agunah problem, she authored מניעי ענייך מדמעה (“Save your Eyes from Tears”) on prenuptial agreements, published in Hebrew.

Dr. Levmore holds a Ph.D. in Talmud and Jewish Law from Bar Ilan University. Her dissertation focused on the change in rulings of the Israeli Rabbinic Courts in the most difficult cases of get-refusal. 

As an internationally recognized leader, Dr. Levmore lectures about halacha, women in halacha and divorce in Jewish Law, in Israel and Jewish communities around the world. 

Tzachi Kind

About Mr. Kind

Mr. Kind worked as a teacher in the education system and a lecturer in colleges for 30 years. He studied at the Hesder Yeshiva in Karnei Shomron and has a master’s degree from Bar Ilan University in the Tanach and Resurrection field. Tzachi also accompanies the Bar Mitzvah project for the hearing impaired for 15 years. 

During the guidance of the deaf and hard-of-hearing children throughout the country, Tzachi felt the great desire to enrich their world in the field of self-identity and Jewish identity. He believes that this project will accompany them further down their path and deepen their connection to the people and the country.

About Rabbi Mirvis

Rabbi Danny Mirvis is the Acting CEO of World Mizrachi and the Rabbi of Ohel Moshe Synagogue in Herzliya Pituach.

Dublin-born and London-raised, Rabbi Mirvis is an alumnus of the Hesder program at Yeshivat Har Etzion.

In 2021, he returned to Israel after serving as the Senior Rabbi of Mizrachi Melbourne. During his six years in Australia, he also played leading roles in the Rabbinical Council of Victoria, the Rabbinic Advisory Panel of the Melbourne Chevra Kadisha Cemeteries Trust, the Melbourne Beth Din review of Conversion Practices and Procedures, and all of Mizrachi Melbourne’s synagogues and institutions.

Rabbi David Warshaw

About Rabbi Warshaw

Rabbi David Warshaw has served as President of National Council of Young Israel since February 2021.

During a long professional career as a Jewish non profit senior executive, Rabbi Warshaw represented Jewish National Fund, Yeshivot Beni Akiva, Yeshivat Shaalvim and State of Israel Bonds.

He has also served as President of the Young Israel of Oceanside NY.

Rabbi Warshaw is a musmach of RIETS. He resides in Oceanside NY.

Zev Berman

About Mr. Berman

Zev S. Berman is President of The Berman Consulting Group, a professional services and technology consulting firm with over 40 years of experience. He has pioneered prominent Jewish websites and aided clients globally in technology integration.

As Deputy Director of Educational Technology for Jerusalem, he led a team of 70 educators and technologists for over 300 schools. He has also supported the Jewish Agency for Israel and the World Zionist Organization for over three decades.

An alumnus of Yeshiva College, Mr. Berman is a founding Board of Overseers member and serves on the Executive Committee. He is the Second Vice President of the National Council of Young Israel, Executive Vice President of the Queens Jewish Community Council, board member of the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York, and a former national officer of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America (OU).

Fred Samuels

About Dr. Samuels

Dr. Fred Samuels has served in various positions including President and Gabbai in the Young Israel of Rehovot (Ohel Shai) for the past 37 years. He previously was the president of the Parent Association of Ulpana Tzvia Rehovot and has been a member of the Young Israel of Israel board since 2015.

Dr. Samuels holds a Ph.D in Biochemistry from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (1983) and was a Rockefeller Foundation Post Doctoral fellow at the Harvard Medical School (1983 -85) before entering the diagnostics industry. He has 39 years of senior management experience in startup, mid size and large companies in the in vitro diagnostic (IVD) industry including Orgenics, Alere and Abbott Laboratories. He is the father of 6 children and many grandchildren all living in Israel.

Solly Sacks

Mr. Solly Sacks

Mr. Solly Sacks has held numerous positions of leadership over the past many decades. Prior to his Aliyah from South Africa, he was Chairman of the South African Zionist Federation. Following his Aliyah in 1991, he was elected Director General of the World Zionist Movement, a position he held until his retirement in 2013. He also served as Chairman of Telfed from 2003-2005, and was a member of the Kochav Yair Town Council from 1999-2005. He continues to be active in many volunteer organizations, and is on the board of many organizations in Israel.

He is a father of four (each of whom have their own families), and he currently lives with his wife in the Homat Shmuel community in Yerushalayim.
