Deaf and Hearing Impaired Youth Summer Activites
Thanks to IYIM’s support, summer activities at IYIM-Ma’aglei Shema got an upgrade this year, breaking regular routine and allowing for special innovative activities. The activities took place during July and were attended by about 30 deaf and hearing-impaired students that attend special schools in the center of the country. We received very positive feedback from the parents, campers themselves and the training staff!
A three day trip up North for 49 junior high and high school students was organized at the beginning of July. During the trip, the participants gained an unforgettable experience, getting to know the beauty of the State of Israel in places like the Rosh Hanikra, enjoying attractions like an obstacle course and cooling off with a pool party. On these trips, Deaf youth are able to make new friends, foster ongoing relationships and build a network across the county that last a lifetime.
