Dr. Levmore helps the Commission for the Appointment of Dayanim find candidates
As the search for worthy candidates to be appointed as Rabbinical Court Judges has been launched by Israel’s Commission for the Appointment of Dayanim, the director of the YI Agunah & Get-Refusal Project, Dr. Rachel Levmore, has held in-depth meetings with two of its members. The respective meetings were both held at the request of those members who asked to learn from Dr. Levmore’s experience as the first female member to be appointed by law to the Commission. Dr. Levmore imparted very valuable information regarding the methodology to examine the candidates and the determination of the most worthy among them to serve as a dayan. Both of those members, individually, requested to continue to maintain an open line of communication with Dr. Levmore.
