Lecture on "First to Declare a Prenuptial Agreement for Agunah and Get Refusal: The Moroccan Rabbinical Council Ordinance"
The Sephardi Synagogue of Efrat held an evening for its women members in which Dr. Rachel Levmore, director of the YI Agunah and Get-Refusal Prevention Project, delivered a lecture about: “First to Declare a Prenuptial Agreement for the Prevention of Get-Refusal: The Moroccan Rabbinical Council’s Ordinance (1953)”. By encouraging the vocal participation of the attendees, a deep and lively discussion ensued – bringing about the internalization of the need for prenuptial agreements for the prevention of get-refusal.
