Dr. Levmore Teaches Students of Matan HaSharon
The leading “Morot L’Halakha – Advanced Halakha Program” of Matan HaSharon in Raanana, requested that the director of the IYIM Agunah and Get-Refusal Prevention Project, come teach for a full day. Since this is a training 
program for women spiritual leaders in their respective communities, there is great importance to having these program participants study the material relating to the agunah and get-refusal problem, in depth. The week before and the week following the full day of lectures, the students were given source sheets to study. The full day of lectures enlightened the students to the legal and halakhic situation today and their effects on each other. In addition the students studied sources relating to the composition of halakhic prenuptial agreements for the prevention of get-refusal. Several hours of the lectures were dedicated to the Agreement for Mutual Respect – its mechanisms, halakhic and legal validity, dissemination and efficacy. As the female students of rabbinics said themselves: they left the very full day of study “on a high” – inspired and knowledgeable as to their role in eradicating the agunah problem.
