Lecture in Sepharadi Shul for Women
The Agunah and Get-Refusal Prevention Project presented a lecture for the women’s group of the Beit Knesset Sepharadi in Efrat. The topic: “The prenuptial Agreement for Mutual Respect: prevention of get-refusal”. For all of the women participants aside from one, the subject of prenuptial agreements for the prevention of get-refusal was new. The participants were so fascinated that their questions lasted well into the night—for a total of over two hours! The greatest surprise for them, when confronted with this topic for the first time, was the statement made by the one woman who affirmed the possibility that they are indeed personally empowered to speak about this by clarifying that all her three children who married in the past two years had signed the Agreement for Mutual Respect!
