Discussing Jewish Law- Within our System of Law
The director of the IYIM Agunah and Get-Refusal Prevention Project, Dr. Rachel Levmore, received a personal invitation from Israel’s Justice Ministry – Jewish Law Unit and attended a meeting where the keynote speaker was Supreme Court Justice (emeritus) Elyakim Rubinstein. The subject discussed was “Mishpat Ivri – Jewish Law – Within our System of Law”. The discussion of Justice Rubinstein had direct bearing on adjudication in the State Rabbinical Courts in general and on the agunah cases in particular.
