“Agunot: Follow These Instructions”
The NY widely-read newspaper, The Jewish Press, published an article authored by Dr. Rachel Levmore, director of the YI Agunah and Get-Refusal Prevention Project. This article marked International Agunah Day with a special purpose. With the title “Agunot: Follow These Instructions” Dr. Levmore explained to Agunot who live in the Diaspora—who lack any ties to the State of Israel—how to prepare for the Israeli Rabbinical Courts to free them of their marriages, should the get-refuser come on a visit to Israel. This article could literally save the lives of Diaspora agunot.
