מינוי דיינים: מן ההלכה למעשה
The prominent Orthodox RCA journal, “Tradition”, published a book review authored by Rabbi Yitzchak Blau, regarding the festschrift in honor of Rabbi Shlomo Riskin –with the title “חכמה לשלמה”. In the very positive review the author describes the article of Dr. Rachel Levmore, מינוי דיינים: מן ההלכה למעשה (which specifically mentions YI Agunah & Get-Refusal Prevention Project) as a case in point – as he writes that Levmore’s article pointed out “the current implicit agreement about appointing dayyanim (an equal distribution between Ashkenazi Haredim, Sefardi Haredim, and Religious Zionists) does not accurately reflect the larger constituency of Am Yisrael” as problematic both as a communal issue and within halakha.
