Lobbying for Agunot at the Knesset
IYIM was represented, by Dr. Rachel Levmore- director of the Aguna And Get-Refusal Prevention project, in the founding session of the Knesset Members’ Lobby for Agunot and Mesuravot-Get — שדולה למען נשים עגונות ומסורבות הגט – which was held in the Knesset with participation through Zoom. The founding of the MK’s Lobby is a significant step, as through working with our organization together with others, the legislative arm of the State of Israel will provide an impetus to the State-established Rabbinate to heed our calls for halakhic solutions to be implemented by the State Rabbinical Courts.
