Chanukah Party at Shema’s Jerusalem Branch for Deaf Elementary School Students
On the first night of Chanukah, Shema, in conjunction with IYIM hosted a very exciting party for elementary school age Shema members from all over the country. The children, who were coming from Tel Aviv, Be’er Sheva among other cities, were enthralled by an exciting clown show with a sign language interpreter for them. The night included special workshops related to Chanukah as well. We were also honored by have our director be given the opportunity to light the menorah for everyone at the start of the evening. It was a night to remember for all.
