Dr. Levmore teaches about the importance of Prenuptial Agreements
Yeshivat Drisha, the first of its kind yeshiva for women located in Rosh Tzurim, invited the director of the IYIM Agunah & Get-Refusal Prevention Project, Rabbinical Court Advocate Dr. Rachel Levmore, as a Talmida Chachama, to deliver an in-depth “sheur” (study of halakha) explaining the Agreement for Mutual Respect. In the traditional manner of study in yeshivot, Dr. Levmore provided seven pages of halakhic sources for the students to prepare in several study hours, which was then followed by Dr. Levmore’s teaching as a “rebbe” would. These female students are being developed as the scholarly religious leaders of their generation, thus it is crucial for them to understand the inner workings of get-refusal and its solutions.
