Toronto Federation panel discussion
The Jewish Agency for Israel invited Dr. Rachel Levmore to participate in a panel discussion about pluralism within the various religious streams, demonstrating how the IYIM Agunah and Get-Refusal Prevention Project demonstrates inclusiveness, assisting all Jews in the State of Israel and in the diaspora. The discussion was held within the framework of a 350 member-strong mission of the Toronto Federation mission to Israel, at the Waldorf Astoria. The coordinator was welcomed very warmly by the mission delegates, individually and as a group. A strong impression was made, bringing diaspora Jews even closer to Israel’s social activists as sharing the goal of striving to improve conditions within Israeli society.
