Dr. Levmore Lectures as part of Shabbat Dorshot Tov
IYIM’s Agunah and Get-Refusal Preventions Project participated in the nation-wide “Shabbat Dorshot Tov”, where 98 female Torah scholars lectured in various communities on Shabbat. Director of the project, Dr. Rachel Levmore, lectured in Kibbutz Migdal Oz to the general community in an hour and a half shiur: Get-Refusal and an Agreement for its Prevention: Halakhic Background and the Solution. As the Rabbi of the kibbutz said in amazement: “For an hour and a half the people were fascinated, nobody moved. Thank you for lecturing about this, now it will be easy for me to convince marrying couples to sign”.
