Efrat community enjoys lecture on Orpah, Ruth and King Solomon
The Shaarei Eliyahu community in Efrat invited Dr. Rachel Levmore, the director of the IYIM Agunah and Get-Refusal Prevention Project, to participate in the Shavuot night Torah study. Dr. Levmore presented an original lecture, titled “Orpah, Ruth, King Solomon: a continuous story”, which described the agony and desperation of a woman subject to levirate marriage – until today. The class was so intriguing that participants continued to approach her with comments and questions during the entire holiday and the following day.
