New Plan for Conversion of Israeli Citizens discussed
As director of the YI Agunah & Get-Refusal Project, Dr. Rachel Levmore,attended a by-invitation-only briefing, being a member of the Beit Hillel rabbinic organization, where the new Plan for Conversion of Israeli Citizens was presented by the Ministry of Religious Services. Three speakers, including the Minister himself, explained the rationale behind the plan, the framework and strategies – in detail. Following the presentation, the participants were invited to send in suggestions and additional ideas. Dr. Levmore followed up with a five page document which was welcomed by the Ministry.
