Israel’s widespread daily newspaper “ישראל היום” – Israel Today – published a powerful article marking international Agunah Day, authored by the director of IYIM’s Agunah & Get-Refusal Prevention Project, Dr. Rachel Levmore. In the article Dr. Levmore renewed her call to the Rabbinical Courts to remove the power from the hands of the husband to refuse a divorce and to take that power to dissolve a marriage into the hands of the Rabbinical Court itself.
