Rabbi Avi Tilonsky serves as a Donor Relations Officer at JDC, where he strengthens connections between North American supporters and JDC’s global initiatives, advancing Jewish life and well-being worldwide. Before making aliyah in 2014, he directed the Kohelet Fellowships, bringing Jewish learning to over a thousand parents across the United States, and served as a congregational rabbi in New Jersey and Connecticut. He received rabbinic ordination from Yeshiva University and holds a master’s in Public Administration from CUNY Baruch. Based in Jerusalem, Rabbi Tilonsky enjoys biking, exploring the city’s neighborhoods, officiating at weddings, and traveling. He is a sought-after speaker on topics including Jewish Perspectives on Modern Innovations, Jewish Ethics, Judaism in the Modern State of Israel, and Life in Israel.
