Rav Shandalov is a native Chicagoan where he spent most of his life, until making Aliya in 2009 with his wife and three daughters. He attended Yeshivat Sha’alvim (1976-1978) graduated from Northeastern Illinois University and received his Semicha from the Hebrew Theological College of Skokie, IL (1981). He served as rabbi of Congregation KJBS in Chicago (1999 -2009). He also taught at Hillel Torah Day School and Ida Crown Jewish Academy in Chicago. Rav Zev served as the president of the Chicago Rabbinical Council for 3 years and on many local community boards. After Aliya, he taught in the Yeshiva Tichonit in Maale Adumim as well at at AMIT Boys. He lectures, teaches and acts as a Rav in his local community and beyond. He is the author of “The Three Images” and three volumes of original Piyutim entitled “זמירות אזמר בפיוט.” He is married to Andria, and they have three daughters and 3 grandchildren BH.
